Cacao hunting
This is one of our most memorable experiences. Cacao Hunters welcomed us, as members of Guardabosques de la Sierra, to an adventure hunting for the rarest cacaos. Are you wondering if they found anything delicious? Sure they did! Taste it in a 64% Sierra Nevada bar by Cacao Hunters.

Juan
Juan Nuevita together with Juan Arias carried out a project called "Sow Water / Call Water", the following photos are just a sample of the work the did together, during the year 2020.
José Miguel walks towards the lagoon. He is an elder leader of the Kogis and father of Juan Nuevita. After making a ‘pagamento’ (offering) in a cave by the sea, he goes to the lagoon nearby to make another one there. The caves are shelters of the ‘Madre’ (Mother Nature) where she receives offerings. A ‘pagamento’ (offering) is made both at the cave and the lagoon so that there is no lack of shelter or food in the community.

Portrait of the family of María, Juan Nuevita's wife.
Juan Camilo (Juan Nuevita’s son) asked the grandparents to take a photo of the family. Juan thinks this photo will help his children remember their grandparents and where their knowledge comes from.
